Portal users may notice mounts using the convention {mount}_b appearing on their Stations page. The _b mounts are aliases that b-feeds use that propagate through the edge servers.

The primary purpose of showing these mounts is to indicate the number of listeners connected to your b-feed mounts when a-feeds is suffering an incident. Having these mounts visible also allows users to view the analytics for the time that the a-feeds is not available.

{mount}_b streams are not to be distributed publicly, they should only recieve connections through the proxy of the master stream URL. This failover is automated and is enabled by default for eligible streams.
