The Profiles feature in the Caster interface allows you to store multiple streaming configurations so you can quickly switch between your Caster settings, stream quality and contribution targets. 


If you have already set up your Caster, you will have created your first profile. If you have not yet set up Caster, follow our help guide here: Caster: First-Time Setup

Adding a new Profile

Step 1: Log into the Caster UI and select "Profiles" from the menu in the sidebar.

Step 2: On The "Profiles" page, select "Create Profile" in the right panel.

Step 3: Populate the options for your new profile on the Profile Creation Form.

Step 4: Click "Save" to save your new profile.

To add a new Profile, log into the Caster UI and select "Profiles" from the menu in the sidebar. On The "Profiles" page, select "Create Profile" in the right panel.

Click "Save" to save your new profile. 


Switching Profiles

Unless you set the new profile as the "Active Profile" in the setup form, Caster will continue to use the previous active profile as the encoder settings. To switch the settings to the new profile click "Activate" against the new profile in the list.



Caster will now take on the new profile as the encoder settings upon the next reconnection, and use these as the default settings until the active profile is changed.


Click edit or delete against any profile at any time to reconfigure its settings.
