In podcasting, syndication means making your podcast available across multiple third-party services and directories. For optimal reach, it's essential to list your podcast on as many of these platforms and apps as possible, since audiences discover and listen to podcasts on various outlets.
Through hosting your podcast on Timbre you will have an RSS feed (often referred to as an XML Feed) that is compatible with all major podcast distributors, including Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music and Spotify.
Once you have set up a new podcast on Timbre, you will need to send the RSS feed to all the services you want to be listed on. This article will show you how you can link these services back to the Timbre feed to centralise all your syndicated platforms in Timbre so that the links to the listings appear in the Timbre Player and the Timbre Podcast Website.
You can locate your Podcast's XML/RSS Feed in the Podcast sharing tab. For information on how to find this, see our help guide: How to Share your Podcast
Timbre Podcast Syndication tab
The "Syndication" tab on the podcast management page allows you to link your podcast to its listings on up to 16 popular podcast apps.
Populating these fields with the relevant permalinks will add the link (along with the third-party app icon) to the "Subscribe With..." button on the Timbre Player UI. This is useful for helping listeners find your podcast on their preferred platform directly from the Timbre Player.
You can fill in as many or as few as you like. Any unpopulated fields will simply not appear on the player.
Note: the greyed-out placeholder URLs in the fields do not reflect any actual permalinks for this podcast, they merely illustrate the permalink formats you could expect to see on these referrer sites.
