Signing In

When you first sign-up for Timbre with us, we will create your account and confirm the email that your account has been set up under. 

On first login, head to, and click “forgot password?”. This will allow you to set up your own password to ensure the security of your account. 

To access your Timbre Preferences once logged in, click on your name/avatar in the top right and hit the preferences button (pictured):

Change Account Details

Preferences -> Personal Info

On the first page you arrive upon when navigating to preferences, you can change your name or password.

Change Profile picture

Preferences -> Other Settings -> Profile picture

If you have a gravatar account, your Timbre profile picture will automatically default to that image. If you wish to add a different profile image head to Other Settings -> Profile Picture where you can select/crop an image from your local storage (Images will be resized to 256 x 256 on upload).

Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Preferences -> Other Settings -> Two-Factor Authentication

To best secure your profile, we recommend enabling Two-Factor Authentication. This will allow you to add another layer of security when logging in. Simply toggle the Two-Factor Authentication setting "On" and you will receive a confirmation code to your email inbox upon your next login. 

When you log in to Timbre for the first time on a particular device, you will be prompted to enter the code. When you paste the code into the form, the device will be remembered for 2 months.
