In Portal, what a user can do and see depends on the role they are assigned at an organisation level and the user level they are assigned on a station level. The permissions of users are controlled by users with the 'Account Admin' role. This article explains the roles you may come across in Portal as well as the user levels and the actions they allow.

Roles

Roles apply at an organisational level and relate to the management of users on an account-wide basis. There are three options: Account Admin, Member or Analytics User.

Account Admins: Responsible for the management of users associated with the account. Account Admins can create other users and assign them to stations in their account, edit permissions, edit notifiables and delete users.

Member: permissions are fully dictated by the user level assigned to them on a station and branch level. Members can't see other users on the account and can't affect them.

Analytics User: Able to view our analytics console, Radar, only.

Your organisation should have at least one Account Admin associated with your account. You can check this in your profile settings under "Manage Users" - if you do not see "Manage Users", you are not an Account Admin.

If you need to be upgraded to an Account Admin, contact your current Account Admin to change your account level. If you are unsure who this is or no Account Admin is assigned, contact our support team.

User Levels

User Levels control permissions as they relate to stations and branches in Portal. The three options are Member, Viewer, and Account Admin.

As an Admin you can edit other users’ levels and add or remove them from the stations and branches you are associated with.

A user can have different user levels for each station and branch they are associated with.

This does not apply to the Analytics User Role.
